After checking out the Surf Scoter on Buchanan Lake in Yakima, I
headed out to the Toppenish Wildlife Refuge to see what was
happening. First stop was the pond at the Zimmerman property located
at Lateral "A" and Marion Drain, then the flooded field at Old
Goldendale and Marion Drain, from there to Pumphouse Rd. to the
refuge where I birded the headquarters area and the observation deck.
Still very little water at the observation area.
