Wallingford in Seattle and I have a SCRUB JAY that's been hanging around my
back yard for a few days. I've got pictures and my phone number is 206

Saturday, October 12, 2002, 4:42PM. Hello. We live on Magnolia and we have a
number of species that use our seed feeder and suet feeder. We've had over
the last week two sightings of a bird which appears to be some kind of
goldfinch but larger than a goldfinch and it's all one color -- like I call
it apricot beige like an apricot poodle or something. Very strange with
lighter wing feathers and tail feathers. I went through Sibley and can't
find anything that looks like it. Could it be an escaped domesticated
canary? It has a sort of reddish upper beak and little black beady eyes. I
don't think it is an albino. My number is 206 283-7956. My name is
Serene[?]. Is there somewhere I can report this kind of thing, so if it is
lost pet, the person who lost it can seek it out? Thank you. Good By.
