Tweeters,
Spent the past weekend down in Sierra Vista, Arizona with Rick Romea and
Cindy Sprecher. We had a great time looking at birds and butterflies.
All told about 125 species of birds and 22 species of butterflies in 2
1/4 days. Birds of note were:
Lucifer's Hummingbird (+ 9 other Hummingbird species)
Montezuma's Quail
Ruddy Ground-Doves
Pinion Jays (irruptive year)
Clark's Nutcracker (irruptive year)
Warbling Vireo (late migrant)
Rick and Cindy seem to be doing well adjusting to the heat of the
desert. There lives seemed rich to me. Both are volunteering at the
Nature Conservancy in Patagonia. Seems like they've made some good
friends as well. One of whom is a person that Kate and I had met in
Texas. Small world.
If anyone wants a list of the birds/and or butterflies,E-mail me and
I'll pass that on.
