Hello Tweeters,

This is one bad day I experience again here at home.I beeen watching all my
birds today feeding and beeing very active splashing in the birbath and
beeing expecial busy.As i watched one of my Anna's Hummingbird and we have
three birds with two males and one female, but we also courld have more
,since there is a lot of sugar water beeing used. One of the real bright male
start hoovering like a Kingfisher in the air than diving down also
hoovering.I yell to Patrick watch this Hummigbird he acts so strange. This
behavier going on for a while around the Maple tree which he usual using as
a perch.Patrick spotted a Hermit thrush in the Maple tree sitting
motionless,as all the birds start in to making a rocket full of noice .But
the Anna's attact the Hermit Thrush surounding the thrush some time almost
touching the thrush. It seems that all the other birds was acting as this
thrush is an intruder. All this comotion was lasted 20 minutes,as Patrick saw
a maybe Sharpie flying out of the plump tree.I did not see the hawk, but as
it got quite ,i looked at the trush, still sitting real still and did not
move.I discovert this bird had the tail missing and seems to be in chuck.I
was thinking to get my Dragonfly net to catch this injured bird, but he moved
by than to onother spot where it would be hard to catch.I am almost certain
that the sharpie trying to get this thrush ,but missed. We getting Hermit
occasionly, but we usual know when there in our yard feeding with the
Juncos. We spend most all afternoon watching the Hermit Thrush woundering if
he could fly. After a while he did fly from the Maples tree to the fir tree
,all in our yard, but this evening he flew in to my neighbors yard where we
saw it last.It is real strange that this hawks mostly get the birds what a
kind of rare in you yard.Years ago i lost a White-throadesd ( white
striped )Sparrow. The only memory are the photos i took of this
bird.Tommorrow i will look for the Thrush in my Neighbors yard, and see if he
flew of or laying dead on the ground.
