Hello Tweeters,
This morning ,the first thing i done looked for the Hermit Thrush what i
left yesterday sitting in my neighbours yard.The bird was not there,so he
moved during the night.My neighbour was not home all day,so i cant search
for this bird in case he died during the night and fall down to the
ground.He also could easey survive and went on.I picked up my photos of this
bird today,and it shows that the tail was missing,but it shows no injured
part of his body.We used to have a Robin years ago ,what had the tail
missing,the bird was here for a long time,so maybe this Hermit Thrush also
can survive with out the tail.
Today we had a bonanza of birds in our yard with all the Anna's taking a
shower in our mister and 4 Golden-crown Kinglet all at once in the
birdbath.There where other Kinglet in the trees,it was hard to tell how
many.At least 7 Chestnut-backed Chickadees and the same amount of
Black-capped going on to the suet feeders plus the crushed nuts what we put
out.
I also had two Bewick's wren what lost the Noble Fir what i planted in to
the yard.I need a new Noble fir soon ,since this attracted so many birds on
to my patio.Many Red-brested Nuthatches with 4 Stellers Jays making a lot of
noise,this is wy the Thrush flew of in to the neighbours yard yesterday.I
proable will get my Anna's banded this year,so i can find out how many i
realy have in my yard.This is the third year ,and there here all year long.
