Hi,
The TROPICAL KINGBIRD first reported by Ruth and Patrick Sullivan in Tokeland
was still present today between 1:45-2:45. It stayed in the upper dead
portion of a tall fir tree at the corner of Emerson and Whitcom. The bird
was first seen by us from Kindred, across from the beach access.

The fog was bad at 1:30, but by 2:45 it was even thicker. The tide was also
very high.

1:30-3:00) Tokeland Marina- of note
about 500 marbled godwits on the "rock island/jetty" and another 4 next to
the white building to the west.
12 willet
2 whimbrel
2 northern flickers sitting on the rocks on the east island/jetty point
1 greater yellowlegs
lots of western grebes, common loons, and brown pelicans

11:00am Bottle Beach (fog still out on the water, almost high tide) - of note
3 Black bellied plovers
7 marbled godwit
20+ common loons
rafts of pintail, American widgeon and mallards
surf scoters
1 Virginia Rail (heard)
2 Wilson snipe

Nothing else real unusual showed up at our other stops, but I do want to note
the following sightings because they seem late:

9:45am (drizzle) Keys Rd (Elma, WA)
25+ goldfinches

9:30am At the Porter Creek Rd/Hwy 12 intersection we watched 2 adult bald
eagles hassle an osprey. I had thought ospreys had all left by now since our
Rochester High School osprey family hasn't been seen for at least a month.
