This is the Vancouver Natural History Society's Bird Alert for Sunday,
October 20, evening update, sponsored in part by the Wild Birds Unlimited
stores in Vancouver and North Vancouver.

The featured birds are Northern Mockingbird and, out of town, Yellow-billed
Cuckoo.

Sightings for Sunday, October 20:

A Northern Mockingbird was seen in Abbotsford along the east side of
McDermott Road, between Campbell Road and Number 5 Road.

Out of town, the Yellow-billed Cuckoo was seen for the 3rd day on Waldie
Island in Castlegar.

An American Golden Plover and an Eared Grebe were seen along the Robert's
Bank coal port jetty, while the Willet was along the Taswwassen jetty.

A Marbled Godwit was between 104th and 112th Streets in Delta.

A Northen Shrike and 5 Ring-necked Ducks were at Colony Farm.

Saturday, October 19:

A Snow Bunting was on the south jetty at Iona Island.

Two Red Crossbills and a Great-horned Owl were at the Terra Nova area in
Richmond.

Friday, October 18:

A Northern Pygmy Owl was on Cypress, about 100 yards past the high view
lookout.

Thursday, October 17th

A PACIFIC LOON was seen on the Serpentine River at Serpentine Fen in Surrey.
