Had a interesting day driving around and doing work tasks. I drove to Mardon to talk with the folks there and as i was leaving I saw a barn swallow. A little further along the beach between Mardon and the State boat launch I found 26 long-billed dowitchers, 5 dunlin, 5 least sandpipers just about the time I was thinking they had all left ( the shorebirds). There were 34 western grebes on the reservoir there as well.

I then found two American tree sparrows at their traditional spot on Corfu rd, off Hwy 26, in the Russian olive trees adjacent to and on the eastside of the rd. Then driving back towards Othello on Lower Crab Creek Rd I see a Chukar by the creek.
