Subject: scoters on Moses Lake

On today's flight I had two flocks (8 and 20) of scoters on Moses Lake, the
west side toward Moses Point. They appeared to be Surf Scoters but I
couldn't be sure. Also at Banks Lake about 2 miles north of US 2 I caught a
distant view of what appeared to be a jaeger. While most waterfowl haven't
moved in yet, there was a large concentration on the Columbia River south of
the Vantage Bridge as reported before, and 8-9 miles north near the Quincy
Wildlife Area.

The Blue Jay south of Othello was heard again yesterday.
