Hello,
I've been driving Ruston Way for the last few weeks to see when the
golden eyes would return. Well, they're here! Today as I drove home, I
saw a small flotilla off of the western end of Dickman Mill. When I got
home Rob and I headed back down with our binoculars and counted 22
Barrow's Golden Eyes, all adult males except three females and one
juvenile male. We also saw five Horned Grebes, a female Kingfisher, eight
female Surf Scoters, and the usual assortment of Crows, Double-crested
Cormorants, and gulls.
