Don't know if anyone is still keeping track, but had what looked like a male
juvie rufous hummer in my fuschia garden this morning. He buzzed off before
I could get a look at the gorget.

Yard birds and wildlife of note (to me at least) in my backyard on the
Sammamish Plateau this morning were a male Western Tanager (haven't seen one
in a few years in my yard) and my red douglas squirrels seem to be coming
back. I forgot how noisy those squirrels were, but they are still welcome
whereas the Eastern Grays are not!

Anyone know what those very large bright blue dragonflies are called? We
have put in a pond and they seem to be very attracted to it. I'm really
enjoying them (or it, maybe it's just one hanging around).
