Jim Pruske and I checked out Kennedy Creek this morning. The tide was
out, but we still had some shorebird activity on the mud flats. After
Kennedy Creek, we crossed the highway to Old Olympic Rd. and walked the
road back a little ways to the open area near the power lines. We were
treated to 2 Black Swifts flying around with a large number of mixed
Barn and Violet Green Swallows. We could clearly see the notched tail,
larger size, and the alternating wing beats were slower than a Vaux's.

Green Winged Teal - 5
Bonaparte's Gull - 15+
Black Bellied Plover - 50+
Western Sandpiper - 20+
Least Sandpiper - 2
