Today I led a Audubon field trip to Bassett Park, Washtucna and although the bird #'s were light we did get a few migrants. Before we got out of town we ran into a group of shorebirds at the Agricultural Pond across the road from Walmart. This is the first time I had seen such use of this area. We had 53 killdeer, 11 common snipe, 12 lesser yellowlegs and three greater yellowlegs.

It was just windy enough to keep the birds moving and hidden so viewing was short when you did get on a bird.
