Spent a long time looking for buff-breasted sands on the dry ridges on
Damon Point alas none were to be found. Did see a few interesting birds
throughout the day however:

Damon Point:

1 whimbrel - landed in a tree briefly !!!
1 red-breasted nuthatch - in one of the conifers on the north side of
the road - opposite the lagoon - formerly the pond.
5 horned larks
17 american pipits
3 northern harriers
1 Cooper's hawk

Ocean Shores Game Range:

5 pacific golden plovers
11-17 pectoral sandpipers
4 dunlin
2 greater yellowlegs
1 lesser yellowlegs
7 black turnstone
1 whimbrel
22 american pipits
1 peregrine

Driftwood Beach Access:

1 american kestrel - apparently hunting shorebirds !!!
220 black-bellied plover
4 red knot
6 short-billed dowitchers

There were large numbers of birds roosting out on the beaches though
the fog made them hard to find. The birds were so loud I could here
them from the west side of the game range !!!!
