Subject: Question re Black-headed Grosbeak

Average first arrivals are earlier--first week of May and a few arrive in
the last days of April some years. Last birds are typically in the Sept
20-25 range, my latest many years ago Sept. 25 in Lake Forest Park.
However, feeders may shift things, as shown by later dates in fall and even
an overwintering bird or two reported in recent years.
