stores in Vancouver and North Vancouver.

The rare bird alert continues for the RED PHALROPE.

Ruddy Turnstone [104th]
Red Knot [104th]
Baird's Sandpiper [Iona]
Semipalmated Sandpiper [Iona]
Stilt Sandpiper [Reifel]
Buff-breasted Sandpiper [Iona]
RED PHALAROPE [Reifel]
Purple Martin [Port Moody]
GREEN-TAILED TOWHEE [Reifel]

Sightings for Saturday, September 14:

There were no reports of the GREEN-TAILED TOWHEE today, so the bird may have
left the area. But the RED PHALROPE was again seen at Reifel in the west
field, along with the AMERICAN AVOCET and a STILT SANDPIPER .

At the foot of 104th in Delta on the rising tide there were 2 AMERICAN
GOLDEN
PLOVERS, a RUDDY TURNSTONE and 2 RED KNOTS.

A BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPER was in the northwest sewage pond at Iona Island,
along with a BAIRD'S and a SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPER.

Friday, September 13:

The GREEN-TAILED TOWHEE was seen briefly today in the west dyke of Reifel,
along the usual path past the bend in the road coming from the tower. The
juvenile RED PHALROPE, going into basic plumage, was also in the west field
of Reifel.

Thursday, September 12:

The GREEN-TAILED TOWHEE was seen for the third day along the west dyke at
Reifel. Also nearby was a RED PHALROPE in a flooded field with dowitchers,
the AMERICAN AVOCET and a STILT SANDPIPER .

Elsewhere, 2 PURPLE MARTINS were at Rocky Point Pier in Port Moody.
