There was a edition of "The Connection" on NPR (11pm on KUOW, here in
Seattle) on which it was stated (if I remember correctly) that the
mortality rate in crows was pretty close to 100%. I think the figure
was arrived at from field counts of crows in areas hit by the virus
rather than more precise epidemiological studies.
