Sorry for the late report, but I headed down to Ocean Shores on Wednesday.
The weather was mostly (too) nice and sunny, though a fair breeze blew up
after noon.

I started at the jetty, which featured:

Sooty Shearwater Hundreds moving north
Pink-footed Shearwater? I think I saw about 5 of these
Surf Scoter Hundreds
PEREGRINE FALCON 1 flying south
Black Turnstone Perhaps 20 well out on the jetty
Wandering Tatler? Caught a glimpse that looked like a tat.
POMARINE JAEGER Great look at a gorgeous one flying north

I tried the Ocean Shores STP and the Game Range and saw basically nothing
(although I did think it odd to find 30 STELLER'S JAY at the Game Range,
where trees are basically absent). Only a few LEAST SANDPIPER, a couple of
WESTERN SANDPIPER, a dowitcher, and a MERLIN.

Damon Point, just before high tide, was also a bust.

At Bill's Spit at high tide, there were about 20 MARBLED GODWIT and about 20
LONG-BILLED CURLEW.

Nothing at the Hoquiam STP at high tide around noon except gulls, Mallards,
N. Shoveler, and 4 RING-NECKED DUCK.

At Bottle Beach just after high tide:

Black-bellied Plover 600
Semipalmated Plover 1
Pacific Golden-Plover 1
Dowitcher 100
Dunlin 40
Western Sandpiper 200

At Nisqually, late afternoon, a PACIFIC TREE (CHORUS) FROG in a tree,
WHITE-CROWNED and GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW, and both an AMERICAN KESTREL and a
MERLIN.

Only 10-11 species of shorebird on the day, and only about 50 species total.
