September 22, evening update, sponsored in part by the Wild Birds Unlimited
stores in Vancouver and North Vancouver.

The featured bird is SOLITARY SANDPIPER.

Sightings for Sunday, September 22:

A SOLITARY SANDPIPER was seen east of 112th Street in Delta. Also in Delta
between 112th and 104th were an AMERICAN GOLDEN PLOVER and 3 BAIRD'S
SANDPIPERS, and there was a WESTERN MEADOWLARK west of 104th.

A PARASITIC JAEGER was off the tip of the south jetty at Iona Island.

Saturday, September 21:

A LAPLAND LONGSPUR and a BANK SWALLOW were seen at the mansion west of the
foot of 96th Street in Delta.

2 PARASITIC JAEGERS were harassing COMMON TERNS off the south jetty at Iona
Island, and a RING-NECKED DUCK was in the outer pond.

Friday, September 20:

One BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPER was at the northeast corner of the Robert's Bank
coal port jetty.

Thursday, September 19:

At 104th Street in Delta there were 2 AMERICAN GOLDEN PLOVERS and a MARBLED
GODWIT.

Wednesday, September 18:

A late RUFOOUS HUMMINGBIRD was present in Port Moody.

Tuesday, September 17:

At 104th Street in Delta the following birds were seen: a SHARP-TAILED
SANDPIPER, a BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPER, an AMERICAN GOLDEN PLOVER, and a RUDDY
TURNSTONE, and all were juveniles.
