Jennifer,

Over the weekend, we found a pair of pileated woodpeckers munching away on
our blueberry bushes. They must live around our property, because we've seen
them every time we are there since we first spotted them. (We are building a
house, so don't yet live on our property, just visit for now.)

I love your description of the Pileated's hairdo. We call our trio of
Stellar's Jays the "flying Elvii" because of their punk-rock hairdos and
ruckus behavior.
