This is the Vancouver Natural History Society's Bird Alert for Thursday,
September 26, evening update, sponsored in part by the Wild Birds Unlimited
stores in Vancouver and North Vancouver.

The featured birds are PACIFIC and AMERICAN GOLDEN PLOVER.

Sightings for Thursday, September 26:

One PACIFIC and 2 AMERICAN GOLDEN PLOVERS were seen between 112th and 96th
Street in Delta, and near the base of 96th in a corn stubble field were 2
LAPLAND LONGSPURS . Also seen in the area were 6 WESTERN MEADOWLARKS , a
number of PECTORAL SANDPIPERS, 6 BAIRD'S SANDPIPERS as well as 20 LEAST and
10 Western SANDPIPERS.

The WILLET was on the Tsawwassen Jetty.

A GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE was near the horse farm on Sea Island.

One TOWNSEND'S SOLITAIRE was seen at Burnaby Mountain Park.

Wednesday, September 25:

A GREEN HERON was at Burnaby Lake Park.

Tuesday, September 24:

A TURKEY VULTURE was over 42nd and Yew in Vancouver.

Another TURKEY VULTURE was seen over Point Roberts.

Monday, September 23:

A RUFF and a PACIFIC GOLDEN PLOVER were seen in the west field of Reifel.
