The E. Lake WA AS had a field trip to Nisqually scheduled for this day, not
knowing that the Nisqually Wetlands Festival was going on. They had an
interesting program planned for the day and there were a lot of people on
the trails. However, we did see a few good birds, 44 overall. The American
Bittern was memorable, one of the best sightings ever for most of us and a
first for some. Excellent photo taking opportunity at the bird only about 30
ft. away.
