Hi Everyone--

The Sharp-tailed Sandpiper has been around for over a week now, which is astounding to me. Those of you who go looking for it in the afternoon need not be deterred by its apparent absence. At dusk, watch for it to feed in the open in the reeds at the west end of the pond, in an area of mud not visible from the SW corner, but visible if you drive around to the Airport Way side and look south. If the two PLM Leasing truck trailers are still present 50 yards west of the intersection of Airport Way and Paulson Road, park between them, stand up on the transformer boxes to your immediate left, and look over the fence.
