Hi, Tweets
I have to get myself back on schedule so here are the turkey vulture
reports for the rest of March, 2003, from Washington and British Columbia:
18 -- 2 near Spencer Island
23 -- 2 circling over southeast of Leavenworth
24 -- 1 on Hwy 164 between Auburn and Enumclaw
26 -- 1 near Penticton, B.C. (first of the spring); 1 over Mount Seymour
Parkway, North Vancouver, B.C.; 1 gliding along the edge of a bluff behind
Montesano High School
28 -- 3 over Charlie Wright's yard, all high and moving north and one
followed by a raven
29 -- 4 south of the Fraser River near Haney, B.C.; 6 along the Brady Loop;
1 near Hoquiam; 1 at John's River; 2 along Otter Lake Road, B.C.
30 -- "several" at the Cowlitz River drainage; 1 over the Vancouver Lake
Lowlands; 1 at the pond on Marion Drain Rd/Lateral "A" road
31 -- 6 heading north from Tacoma toward Vashon; 1 accelerating down the
slope of a clearcut above Hwy 109; 1 along the Mt. Baker Highway; 2 over
Cle Elum
While many are slowly returning to their regular areas, the big push should
be this month. Thanks for the all the reports, and don't forget to look up!!
Cheers, Diann
