On March 25, Dennis Rockwell reported a first-winter ICELAND GULL at Two
Rivers Park. It remained for nearly 2 hours.

Ruth Fischer reported a lone LONG-BILLED CURLEW in a field just south of
Battelle Boulevard in North Richland on March 26.

Bob & Pat Woodley found the first returning AMERICAN AVOCETS in the
Tri-Cities at the ACME Concrete Plant on March 26. Two avocets were
present as well as 3 GREATER YELLOWLEGS.

On March 27, Nancy LaFramboise reported CLIFF and VIOLET-GREEN SWALLOWS at
the Yakima Delta.

Dana Ward observed 2 male WILD TURKEYS courting 1 female at the Big Flat
Habitat Management Unit on March 28. He also saw a SHARP-SHINNED HAWK
pursuing a female Ring-necked Pheasant. Along Road 100 in Pasco he found 2
GRAY PARTRIDGE.

A NORTHERN SHRIKE visited the home of Jack and Murrel Dawson in Benton City
on March 28.

On March 31, there were 6 AMERICAN AVOCET and 2 BLACK-NECKED STILT at the
Yakima Delta, reported by Nancy LaFramboise. There were also TREE,
VIOLET-GREEN and CLIFF SWALLOWS present.
