This morning I braved gusty, cold SW winds to bird the tip of the
Kitsap Penninsula. There, as I was getting out of my rig in the parking
area, at the very end of Twin Spits Rd,, a SAY'S PHOEBE was pearched on a
log, "wagging" it's tail and sallying out for what few insects there were.
Whats interesting is that I had one last year, April 4th, at Buck Lake County
Park, which is just above the Point-No-Point, Hansville area.
Also of interest were singing White-crowned Sparrows at P-N-P
along with a lone Turkey Vulture.
Good birding,
Doug Watkins
