Hi Tweeters & Rainier Audubon--

Ted Ripley, Carol Schulz and I birded Nisqually NWR, Luhr Beach, and the
"Lacey Clearcut" today.

Highlights include about 8 COMMON YELLOWTHROAT, most of which were "heard
only" but we got a brief but good look at one in the blackberries across the
east main pool. Bright yellow, black and white visible on singing male.

Also, we got many good looks at YELLOW-RUMPED (AUDUBON'S) WARBLER, including
several males in full breeding plumage.

There were also several WOOD DUCK right out in the open at the Visitor
Center pond.

A very pleasant outing (well, the weather could have been a little better I
guess!) and an enjoyable time.
