Greetings,

I can add a little more to the excellent report by Tim and the Sullivans. I set out VERY early this morning to scout the Ilwaco/Ft. Canby area for an upcoming field trip, so I stopped by Brady Loop on my way. I arrived there at about 6:30 AM. The Ruff was in the pond on the east side of the road at the time and moving away from the road as he fed in the shallows. The shorter bill length than the Yellowlegs and the "smudging" on the breast made him stand out. The leg color in that morning light looked to me to be slightly more toward orange than the nearby Yellowlegs. I passed the Sullivans coming in as I was driving out, but since I had so far to go (I drove 430 miles today!!), I didn't double back. Ruth and Patrick: Sorry I didn't get a chance to say "Hi".

Great to see another Ruff!
