Greetings,

As I mentioned in the post about the Ruff, I was headed for the SW corner of our state today. Scouting a two day trip in one day doesn't leave much time for birding, but without trying I had 49 species. Mostly I was looking for restrooms, places where you can get 3 cars off the road at one time, and any surprize detours. Anyone who has led a trip knows what I mean! Two nice treats today were a COMMON YELLOWTHROAT at the Raymond Water Treatment Plant, and a CANVASBACK at JB Hansen Refuge. Kinda started and ended the day nicely!
