Hi Tweeters,

Sorry for the late posting. Last Sunday, April 6th, a group from Kitsap
Audubon spent at least 20 minutes observing and photographing 12 Great
Egrets foraging in the field at the corner of Kuhnis Rd and Dike Rd
(Delorme p.22, A-2; spelled Kunnis in Delorme). As we drove north 2 more
Great Egrets were found, for a total of 14.

At Lions Park, on Dike Rd. north of Caples Rd., while checking out the
Ruby-crowned Kinglets, and Yellow-rumped Warblers (Audubon's), we had over
200 Sandhill Cranes fly over! They were in groups of 7 to 40 and kept
comming across us for over half an hour. In the clearing weather they were a
wonderful sight and sound as they gained altitude over the Columbia River
and headed northwest.
