Hey, has anyone out there in Tweeterland birded the GA coastal area, mainly
near Savannah? If so, any suggestions, warnings, etc., you'd care to share?
I'm heading there late next month. Plan to go to Webb Wildlife Center in
SC, then hit places where I might see Anhinga, the terns and warblers we
don't see in WA, Painted Buntings, etc. This will probably include Tybee
Island, ponds near the airport, the Savannah NWR. Anyplace else w/in say an
hour's drive that's a not-to-be missed birding spot? Some of the folks on
the GA Tweeters-equivalent have given me good ideas, but it's always helpful
to hear what Washingtonians have to say about places on the east coast/in
the south. Oh, and my trip is a short one, I'll be there only 3 birding
days.

TIA,
Mary
