I always have a load of old stuffed animals for my two dogs to play with.
They lick them, and seem affectionately attached to them about 4 or 5 days
before the gutting and tearing process begins. Usually this happens
indoors, and I just toss it out. This week the bear of choice ended up
outside, and stuffing was all over. Before I had a chance to get out there,
a crow came by and helped himself. So, within two days, bird, and squirrel
in my yard, and nearby, has taken large amounts of stuffing for me, even a
Robin was investigating the situation, but was scared off. I found it rather
humorous, this is the only birding I seem to get done these days!
