Sunday morning birded Ridgefield NWR from 7 - 9:30. Total species seen or heard was 67 species. Highlights are:

1 American Bittern
1 Blue-winged Teal
2 female Canvasback
1 pair Redheads seen from the photo blind
1 Red-shouldered Hawk (southeast corner of loop)
3 Sora
lots of Virginia Rails
1 Lesser Yellowlegs with lots of Greaters
1 Least Sandpiper near last pond in southeast corner
98 Long-billed Dowitchers
lots of winnowing Wilson's Snipe
2 House Wrens (first for the year)
still quite a few Golden-crowned Sparrows
several Yellow-headed Blackbirds
small flock of Pine Siskins in wooded ravine near entrance

Yesterday at Woodland I had 1 Purple Martin fly over.
