I do not have an answer to Mary's question about the Canada goose behavior
but I pulled into the Edmonds Marsh parking area early afternoon and
immediately saw one yellow-rumped warbler in a tree. I had noticed a mated
pair of Canada geese walking around the asfalted area. While watching the
warbler flit throughout the tree I heard quite a ruckus of honking. When I
turned around I saw that the geese had approached the all-glass door of a
business office, saw their reflections in the glass, and went crazy bobbing
their heads and honking at the two new interlopers.
