Today, Monday, I went to Juanita Bay Park, Kirkland, to see the leucistic
Red-winged Blackbird that's there for the second year. I mentally compared
it to the leucistic Red-winged Blackbird I'd seen the day before at Crescent
Lake, Two Rivers, Monroe. It is absolutely amazing to me that these two
birds are so incredibly similar. The JBP bird may have more white tail
feathers with more black at the tips of the white feathers The tail seem to
always be partially flaired. The breast seemed a bit less-white than the
breast of the one at Crescent Lake. More red feathers show on the CL bird.

The JBP bird is more easily seen at close range than the one at Crescent
Lake.

I'd appreciate other birders analizing these two birds and explaining the
rarity of having two similarly nearly-identically marked leucistic Red-winged
Blackbirds.
