Hello Folks.

Maybe you can help me. Since I am not much of a birder, I have NO idea what I have been hearing in my woods at night. It's a very repetative LOUD meowing noise. It never waivers and always has the same pitch and length. I've looked at several web sites and listened to some catbird and owl calls, but it doesn't quite sound like any of those. The calling started about 2 weeks ago, and it begins around 6 p.m. and lasts until about 9:30 p.m. or so. One caller starts and then another one joins in some time later and they call back and forth in the same call, never waivering, never variating their tone or length. Maybe it isn't even a bird??? I'm not really sure. Any suggestions would be helpful.
