AMERICAN WHITE PELICAN (Kelowna)

Sightings for April 24

An AMERICAN WHITE PELICAN was seen from the end of Truswell Road, in
Kelowna, sitting on the sand bar at the mouth of Mission Ck (HV). Another,
or possibly the same bird, was seen soaring over the Kelowna General
Hospital on Pandosy St. later in the day (CC).

At the Maude Roxby Bird Sanctuary in Kelowna, was the first HAMMOND'S
FLYCATCHER, a "Myrtle" race YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER (CC), 19 AMERICAN AVOCETS
and an adult MEW GULL (HV).

A breeding plumage DUNLIN, 19 AMERICAN AVOCETS, a male WOOD DUCK and an
adult GOLDEN EAGLE were reported at Alki Lake, at the Kelowna Dump (HV).

Three EVENING GROSBEAKS were at a feeder along Black Road in Kelowna's
Ellison area (TF).
