A friend of mine, with a 10'x6' picture window, has had great luck with
hanging the "novelty" size disco balls in front of the window. She has
four of the small (1" diameter) balls in front of the window.

Not only has it helped remove bird crashes (she's had one in the last 3
years), the dancing light specks entertain the cats inside the house.
