Hi Everyone--

I took a quick look at Post Office Lake NW of Vancouver this morning
4/25. A female PURPLE MARTIN was checking out the poles at the
caretakers' residence at the north end of Lower River Road. A few
shorebirds were in the shallows at the north end of the lake: a WILSON'S
SNIPE, a KILLDEER, 5 LONG-BILLED DOWITCHERS, and 4 GREATER YELLOWLEGS.
The OSPREYS are busy with nesting. A surprising number of ducks and
geese are still around.
