There has been a long-tailed duck visible on the Bellingham waterfront for
several days now.

Look in the waterway between the Coast Guard Station and the Bellwether Inn
and on out toward the buoys off the harbor entrance.

He was quite available this afternoon. I've posted a couple of pictures I
got when he swam quite close to shore in the channel.
