Date: April 27, 2003
Location: Toppenish National Wildlife Refuge, Yakima County, Washington

I only had a couple of hours to spend at the refuge today, but could
not pass up the beautiful morning. I had 48 species from the
observation platform and refuge visitors center.

May 10th there will be an open house at the refuge and will have
guided trips into the normally closed sections of the refuge. This
would be a great time to get aquainted with the Toppenish National
Wildlife Refuge (and maybe see nesting Wilson's Phalarope).
