On April 20, Bob Woodley found the following at the Yakima Delta: 1 COMMON
LOON, 1 WESTERN GREBE, 10 HORNED GREBES, 1 RED-BREASTED MERGANSER, 6
FORSTER'S TERNS, 1 CINNAMON TEAL, 40 AMERICAN AVOCETS, 10 BLACK-NECKED
STILTS, and 4 GREATER YELLOWLEGS.

Patty Pollari had a male CALLIOPE HUMMINGBIRD at her West Richland feeder
on April 20.

Ruth Fischer reported CINNAMON TEAL, BLACK-NECKED STILT, AMERICAN AVOCET,
WILSON'S SNIPE, and several SANDHILL CRANE at the small ponds on Bunn Road,
north of Prosser on April 20.

On April 21, Nancy LaFramboise reported 2 male BLUE-WINGED TEAL at the
Yakima Delta and Ruth Fischer noted the return of HOUSE WRENS to her
nestbox in her Richland yard.

June Baldwin was pleased to note AMERICAN GOLDFINCH in her Kennewick yard
on April 22.

On April 23, Dennis Rockwell found a MEW GULL in Two Rivers Park in Kennewick.

Mary & Mike Lilga Lilga observed YELLOW-HEADED BLACKBIRD, BLACK-NECKED
STILT, AMERICAN AVOCET, AMERICAN WHITE PELICAN, CINNAMON TEAL, RUDDY DUCK,
REDHEAD, and BUFFLEHEAD at the Sunnyside Wildlife Area off Bus Road near
Prosser, a pair of LOGGERHEAD SHRIKE on Horrigan Road, a pair of LOGGERHEAD
SHRIKES, a SWAINSON'S HAWK, and a PRAIRIE FALCON along McKinley Springs
Road and CHUKAR on Ward Gap Road on April 24.

At Two Rivers Park in Kennewick on April 24, Nancy LaFramboise, Ruth
Fischer and Dennis Rockwell found 3 female RED-BREASTED MERGANSERS, 1 male
RED-NAPED SAPSUCKER, and 2 CHIPPING SPARROWS. At the Yakima Delta among
other shorebirds, Ruth & Nancy noted WESTERN and LEAST SANDPIPERS.

Katie Crowley and Jeremy Shreve reported a pair of COMMON LOONS in North
Richland on April 24. They had been present since at least April 16.

Bill and Nancy LaFramboise observed 3 BONAPARTE'S GULLS, 1 TUNDRA SWAN, and
8 GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE at the Paterson Slough Unit of the Umatilla
NWR on April 26. They also found 2 SAGE THRASHERS and a COMMON POORWILL
along Rotha Road on the south slope of Rattlesnake Mountain.
