On 17 April, 6 TRI-COLORED BLACKBIRDS were on the Oregon/Washington
stateline according to Ginger and Rodger Shoemaker. The birds were at the
south end of MacDonald Road just above the Williams Feedlots in southern
Walla Walla Co WA.

A single TRI-COLORED BLACKBIRD was spotted on 27 April SW of Hermiston,
Umatilla Co OR by Craig and Judy Corder. This bird was in the Echo Meadows
area, near the intersection of Interstate 84 and OR 207 (aka exit 182). OR
DeLorme 85, AB-7.

Two GREAT EGRETS were in the heron rookery tree on Hogg Island, a few miles
east of Lewiston, Nez Perce Co ID on 24 April according to Al Winter. This
island is about 0.5 mile west of where US 95 splits from US 12 and crosses
the Clearwater River. ID DeLorme 54, A-1.

A COMMON POORWILL spent most of 27 April in the backyard of Randy Hill in
Othello, Adams Co WA. Seen in the morning, it was found again after dinner
with the help of Bob Flores.

A WHITE-THROATED SPARROW is associating with a flock of White-crowned's in
Colville, Stevens Co WA, according to Scott Price. He saw the bird on 27
April in his backyard, as well as in the wild rose hedge across the road
from his house. Scott lives on Witham Road (second house on the left) which
turns south off Garden Homes Road in SE Colville. Thanks to Warren Current
for passing that sighting along. WA DeLorme 118, D-1.

Lots of spring migrants are arriving. Some winter visitors, like EURASIAN
WIGEONS, are still being spied region-wide as they head out. Eurasians were
seen lately in northwestern Whitman Co WA by Tom and Diane Weber and a
possible male-female pair was observed near Priest Lake, Bonner Co ID by Bob
Bond.
