There was a large fall of passerines at Ocean Shores yesterday. The
jetty was covered in birds, mostly sparrows but also a quite a few
orange-crowned warblers, ruby-crowned kinglets, 1 rufous hummingbird,
some american robins and a northern flicker. Fox sparrow was the most
common species following by white-crowned, Lincoln's and savannah. A
lot of the birds appeared very tired and several birds were still
lingering on the jetty in the evening.

I am not sure how many birds were involved however birds were seen
flying in from the jetty all morning and several orange-crowned
warblers were seen flying in off the sea at the beach access at Taurus
Blvd around 1pm - several miles to the north.

There was also a large movement of surf scoters north as well a a few
flocks of greater white-fronted geese. Flock of western sandpipers were
heard flying overhead at high altitude in the early evening.
