Hi,

"Can anybody identify this bird? big as a goose or moscovy duck. Webbed
feet have three clawed toes, has white neckband, irridescent green-black
feathers on body except long white wing tips --neighbor who saw it spread
wings says it has very big wing span and he thinks all the under wing is
white. He said it seemed waterlogged. It looked quite a bit better today,
had preened feathers into order. Has circular wound about the size of a
quarter on left side neck. It is eating birdseed and bread, doesn't seem
normally wary of humans. It is on Lake Washington, south end, off
southwest tip of Mercer Island(on Seattle dock). A neighbor said it did
fly some . It is bigger than a Canada goose with a shorter, thicker neck.

Nobody seems interested. If you could get this message to Tweeters I
would be so grateful

My name is Pat Nelson, my phone is 329-1821.
