Since Gene Hunn's report of a purple martin at Shilshole last week, I've
made several cursory checks. Monday evening I heard and saw a single martin
fly by about 8pm, but that's it so far; two Bonaparte's gulls in summer
plumage sat nearby.

In past years, I haven't seen martins there until mid to late May. This
morning at 6:45 I saw none.
