Being a Port Angeles Native I responded to this guy, and actually thought I
should share my idea with the rest of you. One of the best resources for
info on birding and not just in the ONP (Olympic Natl. Pk) is the little
natural history museum and bookstore at Park and Race near the entrance to
the Hurricane Ridge access road. Also, many of the popular stops have
summer rangers who are high school science teachers and give these nature
talks. I have found them to be great sources of info, especially late in
the season if they've been watching what's been going on around them. Their
locale varies. Lastly, the Olympic Park Institute is located on Lake
Crescent just east of Lake Crescent Lodge and would also be a good source
of info, contacts or even classes.

Three of us in western Whatcom county have seen fledgling Cooper's Hawks
over the past few days (in different places) where there will be two or
more together. Looks like a good year for them.
