While observing Shorebirds this afternoon at Potholes Reservoir a RUDDY
TURNSTONE was discovered. The bird was observed and photographed between
4:45 and 4:55 PM at the Perch Point gravel pit (Perch Point is located off
of Rd 6 SE). Shortly after bathing in a small pond the bird began to feed.
While feeding, the bird walked over a large sand dune toward the main lake
and disappeared. I was unable to relocated the bird after 30 minutes of
searching.

In addition to the turnstone several other highlights were found.

Semipalmated Sandpiper - 2
Western Sandpiper - 26
Long-billed Dowitcher - 7
Wilson's Phalarope - 9
Least Sandpiper - 6
Black-necked Stilt - 4

Good Birding
