Sunday, July 27, 4:20PM. This is Michael Fleming, (206) 297-3234. Did some
birding today. Went up to Paradise to see if I could find the PTARMIGAN that
have been sighted up there. Hiked up to Panorma Point and the first thing I
saw was GRAY-CROWNED ROSY-FINCH right at the Point and I did find 6 male
PTARMIGANS just to the east of Panorma Point, in that general area and the
directions given by Michael Donohue on TWEETERS get you right there. Good
luck and good birding!

Wednesday, July 30, 8:12 PM. Hi. This is Tom Aversa calling on a trip to
Paradise, Mount Rainer and the PTARMIGAN and the GRAY-CROWNED ROSY-FINCH
were very evident up near Panorama Point there.
The reason I'm calling, though, is that I had two independent observers
tell me that they have seen ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK up there. I had a very good
description from this one fellow that's been doing bird surveys and it did
sound like a ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK. So if you're up there you might keep your
eyes peeled.
