I just returned from a short trip to the Olympic Mountains and Cascades in
Washington State. I've posted a few photos (mostly birds) at

Included are Northern Fulmar (on the ocean, not in the mountains), Vaux's
Swift, Red-naped Sapsucker, Western Wood-Pewee, Horned Lark, Violet-green
Swallow, Cedar Waxwing and Red Crossbill. None of the pictures are
award-winning, but it was fun trying.

The swifts are my usual blown-up silhouettes, but you can see the shape
quite well to compare with the earlier Black Swift photos. You can access

One of the Violet-green Swallows was aberrantly-plumaged, apprearing creamy
